The internet is changing the face of communication, organisation, business development and, ultimately the ways we participate. It is empowering people with resources previously unavailable, unattainable, or often enough, inconceivable.
At e-leven social webs we are fascinated by the internet and information technology revolution.
By the simple fact that millions of people today can communicate whatever they like to the rest of the world from their webpage or blog and interact in so many creative ways via twitter, facebook, and literally thousands of other web services.
By the simple fact that millions of people today can learn about whatever interests them by simply using a google search.
By the fact that we can freely watch a lecture course on anthropology, astronomy, chemistry, economics, etc, from a great university like Berkeley, check out great ideas on TED, or listen to a classic piece of literature at Librivox.
By the tremendous amounts of free and open source software that is at our disposal to radically bring down the costs and barriers of one’s imagination.
This is truly a learning age at minimum. But it is a lot more.
And although most of these are relatively recent developments, most of us often enough take them for granted.
Let’s explore, create and promote individual and collaborative projects / applications geared towards (social) entrepreneurship, community development, self expression and a do-it-yourself approach where relevant.
